Barmeath Castle day for tidy towns

-

HEAR Ye, Hear Ye, let it be known to all in the fair land of Louth that a royal Tea Party is being held at Barmeath Castle on Sunday 30th July from 2pm to 5pm!

A boy and a girl will be crowed prince and princess of the Castle and will be taken up to the top of the Castle as part of their prize.

They will have a prize for all children taking part in the dress up.

The idea of a prince and princess was brought about by a little girl as she was leaving Barmeath Castle last year and asked one of the hosts was there a princess in the Castle. ‘She said no but we will certainly have one for you next year!.’

‘We invite all boys and girls to dress up in their finest prince and princess costume and try for Prize for the crowning of the prince and princess and trip to the top of the Castle. This will take place in mid -afternoon at our annual Tea Party in aid of Dunleer Tidy Towns.’

In addition there will be hoola hoops to try and face painting during the afternoon. For the more discerning there will be a walk around the grounds over the 18th Century Stone Bridge and a Bee demonstration by the world’s best honey maker (2106) of Lann Leire Honey Eoghan Mac Giolla Coda who will have hives under the Gazebo in the walled garden. Bring along the blanket and your picnic or just relax with a cup of Tea or Coffee and cakes at the Tea Tent on the lawn listening to some great music by Matt and Pat .
