KNOCKBRIDGE

-

TRAINING continues this Friday at 5.30 p.m. in the Brides field for all U-6 up to U-12 hurlers. New members are welcome to come along.

Last Tuesday our U-10’s travelled to the Fairgreen to take part in the latest Coiste Iomana blitz. The three teams involved were evenly matched and the hurling was of a good standard. In our first game we defeated Naomh Moninne 1-4 to 1-1 and we followed it up with a narrow 2-2 to 1-3 win over St. Fechins. Well done to all who took part.

On Thursday our senior hurlers faced table toppers Clonduff of Down in the Tain league. After a slow start the lads put in a great display to run out easy winners on a 4-18 to 0-10 scoreline.

Meanwhile our U-16’s were in action in the opening round of the South Ulster league. We received a walkover from Cuchulainns of Armagh before facing Lisbellaw of Fermanagh. We led 2-4 to 0-1 at half time and despite a spirted comeback by Lisbellaw in the second half we comfortably held on to win by 2-5 to 1-4.

This Tuesday our U-12’s are at home to Naomh Moninne, throw in 6.30 p.m. while on Saturday our seniors are at home to Warrenpoint in the latest round of the Tain league.
