CONGRATULA­TIONS to Conor Branigan who was the Integral Fitness & Leisure Club Championsh­ip Player of the week last week.

Hard luck to Alan Connor and the Louth minors who lost the Leinster final last week against Dublin. It was a great achievemen­t to get to the final and play in Croke Park.

lotto numbers for 18th July were 6, 7, 16 and 21. There was no winner so next week’s jackpot will be €11,200. The €25 winners were B Tormey, Susan Tiernan, M Mohan, Angela Seery and Breda Montague.

Our annual family fun day is on Sunday 30th July from 2-5pm. We hope to see you all there to have some fun and games. Entrance fee is €5 per family and we promise to keep you all entertaine­d. We would appreciate any donations of buns/cakes etc to be left in the clubhouse on Saturday morning between 11-12 or anytime from 12 on Sunday. If you can help out at all please give Gillian (087 7951477) a shout.

We welcome all Blues members and friends to An Evening with Conor Judge & Friends in Sarsfields Bar, The Living Room on Saturday 29th July at 8pm. Entry €5 per person. It promises to be a great night and will get you ready for the family fun day on Sunday!

The death has occurred of Paul Judge former Newtown Blues and Louth player of the sixties and seventies. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time. Funeral mass on Monday 24th July in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 11am. Burial afterwards to St. Peter’s Cemetery. Ar Dheis Dé go Rabih a anam.

The club would like to offer its condolence­s to the family and friends of the late Mrs Quinn of Pearse Park. May she rest in peace.
