The sincere sympathy of Broomfield and District Residents Association and the Community of Broomfield and District is extended to the Everitt and extended Everitt Family on the passing of Rosaleen (Rose) Everitt (nee) Martin, Carrickmagough, Kells Road, Collon, and also to the Mooney and extended Mooney Family on the passing of Mary (Myna) Mooney (Nee McManus), Polecastle, Lobinstown recently. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time for you.
GRANGEGEETH & CREEWOOD SCHOOL REUNION
On the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee (60 yrs) of Priesthood of Fr. Matt Carpenter, Millhill Missionary, the above two Districts of Rathkenny Parish will be celebrating:
1.A Reunion of the Past Pupils of both Schools (closed in 1968)
2.A Cluster of the Marriage Anniversaries of the above (40 to 60 year range)
3.The Milestone Years of Service in Ministry of Local Priests and Religious (Sr. Consillio Rock, Sr. Anne White, Fr. Jackie Kiernan, Fr. Joe White)
The celebration will start with Mass in Grangegeeth Church at 6.30pm on Sunday July 30th followed by a gathering in Rathkenny Parish Hall for refreshments with an opportunity to circulate and chat. BROOMFIELD WALKING GROUP
Walking continues on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7 pm until September. Sunday walking at 12 noon continues all year round. Contact Josie on 086 4458108 for further information.
FELTING WORKSHOP FOR TEENAGERS
Something for the arty teenager! Thurs 13th July 2.30 - 4. 30 pm. Cost €10. Learn how to make a picture through Wet Felting. We will show you how you can easily work with felt wool using a wide range of fabulous colours. It’s a good idea. to have an idea of what you would like to do, before you begin. MEATH HERITAGE CYCLE TOUR
The Meath Heritage Cycle Tour takes place on Sunday 30th July 2017, and will be passing through Broomfield and District between 10.30 am and 12 noon. The route this year is the same as last year, Balrenny Cross to Grangegeeth Cross, up-hill to Newtownfortescue Cross and turning left through Ballymacan/ Mullagharoy to Hoardstown and downhill to the Sallygardens. If you would like to give an hour or so to help with Road Stewarding please contact 087 2729154. Help is required at 7 Junctions, so your involvement would be greatly appreciated.
BRICKX CLUB SUMMER CAMP

PRIDE OF PLACE JUDGING
The Pride of Place Judge will visit Broomfield & District on Thursday 10th August at around 2 pm. Please do what you can to achieve a positive outcome. The Association and Community have a proud record to defend in the POP Competition, so all efforts will be greatly appreciated. Please keep up the good work on Litter picking. Thanks!
