CHARITY GOLF DAY

Bellewstow­n Golf Club are running a Charity’ Fun Day this Saturday 29th July to raise funds for Jack and Jill Foundation. Last year we had a very successful

And enjoyable day and raised €5,000. All funds are used within the County, to provide care for children with life limiting diseases.

The event will be a 3/person Scramble; €60euro per team. You can book on line with Tee times from 10am to 5pm. Presentati­on of prizes, and draw for great raffle prizes at 9 pm in Club House.

There was a great turnout for the annual Dee Mills competitio­n last week. The Rathfeigh club came to play in this event in memory of the late Dee Mills. It was a beautiful evening with strong sunshine and no winds. The nett winners were Martin Flood and Jim Brannigan from the home club. The gross winners were Tommy Costello and Harry Hall (Rathfeigh). In second place were Joan Caffrey (Rathfeigh) and Leo Gibney. In third place, the pairing of Colm Hanley and Billy Cleary (Rathfeigh). Best of luck to Martin Flood, Oliver Plunkett and Richard Brennan as well as Marie Black & Marie Brennan in the National Seniors this weekend at the Cloghogue club in Newry. Competitio­ns take place each Sunday morning at 10a.m. and on Tuesday evenings at 6.30p.m.
