Break-in at local site

A number of power tools were stolen during a break-in to a shed at the rear of Donegans in Monasterbo­ice last Tuesday.

A wine coloured jeep was seen entering a buiding site beside the popular local Inn and eatery shortly after midnight on the night in question.

A temporary shed on the building site was entered and a number of power tools were stolen including a

25/7 - 12.10am a wine coloured jeep entered a building site at Donegan’s at Monasterbo­ice. A temporary shed was entered and a number of power tools were stolen inclduing a yellow hammer drill, a Rothenberg­er Stillson, a Wurth screwgun and a silver coloured whackerpla­te. MEANWHILE, Hickeys Pharmacy on West Street was broken into on July 26th sometime between 7.30pm and 9am the following morning and a small quantity of perfume was stolen. Gardaí were called after an attempt was made to pass off a fake 50 pound not at the Esso Filling Station on the North Road on July 28th.
