Stabannon take advantage as Bride’s prepare for big day

STABANNON Parnells cruised to victory in a one-sided affair on Tuesday night to move into fifth place in Division 3 and keep their promotion play-off aspirations alive.
St Bride’s opted to field a weakened side as they rested players for their Division 2 commitments 24 hours later, and it seemed to have a big impact as they fell behind early on in the contest and never reduced the gap.
For the Knockbridge outfit this was their fifth loss in a row and leaves them languishing just above the relegation zone.
Aonghus Giggins and David Cluskey top-scored for Stabannon with four points, while Daniel Bannon chipped in with three over the hour.
