Fechin’s run riot

-

ST FECHINS GLEN EMMETS 4-15 0-11

ST Fechin’s collected two points with a 16-point victory over Glen Emmets on Wednesday night.

The home side had the game sewn up after 13 minutes, as with the wind in their backs they scored 3-6 without reply. Goals from Bevan Duffy, Brian Devlin and Jamie King were followed in the 20th minute by a Niall Devlin goal. The Emmets found it hard to score into the wind but kicked five good points, three by James Butler, to leave the score at 4-7 to 0-5 at the break.

The second half lacked the goal-scoring danger of the first, but the in-form Niall Devlin kicked three points for St Fechins.

The Tullyallen men fought to get into the game with the wind at their back and scored six points. But any comeback was quickly silenced by more Fechins points, with scores coming from Brian Devlin, Joe Corrigan, Eoghan Duffy and Jamie King.
