Young stars shine
DUNDALK Gaels hosted an U7 blitz last week with Cooley Kickhams, John Mitchels, St.Kevin’s and Naomh Fionnbarra travelling to The Ramparts.
The games were refereed by two of the Gaels under 14 players, who did a fantastic job, not just refereeing, but also explaining the rules and encouraging players
The games themselves were fought very hard with little or nothing between all the teams. Amazingly all the games ended in draws with a great show of fair play as all players lined up after each game to shake hands.
Players and spectators all celebrated the great matches by enjoying an ice-cream provided by the Gaels afterwards.
The future looks very bright for Louth football.
