Tom Berri ll and his brothers were synonymous with the great Boy ne Rovers club

-

MUCH sadness has been occassioned following the death of Thomas (Bagsy) Berrill, Ballsgrove who died after a short illness on May 23rd in our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

Tom, originally from Chord Road, had three brothers and two sisters.

Tom met his wife Theresa over 50 years ago and they went on to have three children.

He played football for Boyne Rovers with his two brothers and they would say if you got through one brother you wouldn’t get through the other two.

Tom worked on the buses as a bus conductor and was one of the last bus conductors left.

Tom loved to go for a walk with his dog Fudge and everywhere he went everyone knew him and Fudge.

He would sit on the wall in Ballsgrove and have a chat and craic with everyone - young or old.

He would love a night out in his local Gleesons and loved a sing song and a pint.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Lourdes Hospital for looking after him on the sixth floor and Townley’s Funeral Home for all their help.

Tom was loved by his wife Theresa and his two sons Martin and Michael, daughters Siobhan, dog Fudge, all his grandchildren, son-in-law and daughters-in-law.

He will be sadly missed by everyone.
