Alert Gardai nab three juveniles

GARDAI answering a call to suspicious activity at the front of a barber’s shop on Peter Street discovered three juveniles in a nearby premises after its alarm went off.

Around 2.10am on Monday night, gardai were alerted by a caller of an attempted burglary at Rory’s Barbers on Peter Street.

When gardai arrived at the scene, the suspects had gone and there appeared to be no entry made to the premises.

But while at the scene, the garda members heard a nearby alarm going off and on further investigat­ion discovered three juveniles on the premises.

A file is to be prepared in relation to the incident.

On Saturday August 5th, between midnight and 6am, Clarke’s on Peter Street was entered and three guitars were stolen.

Gardai are seeking the public’s assistance in recovering the items, a light blue fender, a Tokai black fender and an Arai sunburst base.

A CAR was stolen on the North Road between 9.30pm and 9.30am on Friday and found on fire on the green at Laurence’s Drive on Saturday at 11.20pm. It was towed away to be examined by gardai.
