Time to paint the bus stops RED as a warning

SENATOR Ged Nash made an excellent point recently about the various bus stops around town.

The problem is that they are used by cars a lot of the time and when buses do arrive they can’t find a place to park and some head off.

He knew of one party that went to Dundalk - after driving around Drogheda on a fruitless journey.

The town does need a proper bus park if we are to be real in terms of attracting more day tours to the town.

And as the seantor states, the present ones need to be painted to allow people realise that they are BUS STOPS and not for cars.

He remarked on the one on Laurence’s Street, which is pictured below as it should be - without a car in it!
