Ren Ten opens

The Mayor of Drogheda, Coir. Patrick Carr, officially opened the new Ren Ten Ltd Street, on Friday morning.

The Brass and Reed band, under their conductor, Jim Nash, marched through the town and formed up outside the new shop, playing a selection of tunes which attracted the attention of shoppers at the busy thoroughfare from far and near.

The Mayor said he was present on this occasion to perform a simple but important ceremony. “The Ren Tel organisation,” he said, “Is somewhat new but possesses great progressive business ability. The fact that their growth was achieved over the short period of only eight years is sufficient proof of their capabilities.’

Replying on.behalf of the Ren Tel company, Mr. Rick Bourke, Director and General Manager, thanked the Mayor for having honoured them by his attendance at the opening.
