No date on Laytown’s Aldi

A PROPOSED decision date for the construction of a new Aldi store at the Strand Road in Laytown is still not known.

The development was granted by Meath CC, but appealed by a number of people in the area.

The proposed development will consist of the demolition of the existing building on site (former Creevlea nursing home) and the construction of a single storey discount foodstore (to include off licence use). The proposed development will be served by 104 car parking spaces. Access to the site will be provided from Strand Road (R150).
