No Bettystown footpath

JANUARY 1977: The non-inclusion of a scheme for the laying of a footpath between Bettystown golf links and St . Nicholas Village, Mornington, in the list of road Improvements works to be undertaken in the current quarter, was criticised by Mr. P. Traynor at a meeting of Meath Co. Council.

Mr . Traynor said he was aware the path would materialise later in the year but he urged that work commence before the start of the tourist season as the road carried a very heavy volume of traffic.
