A GOOD WALK

Ruairi Gogarty (8) won last Wednesday’s Open Singles Stableford on countback from Christy Ward (8). Both were tied on 39pts but Gogarty took the overall prize courtesy of the 19pts he picked up on the back nine. Category prizes went to Ward, Gareth Halpin (12) and Padraig McDonnell (20) while Conor Murphy (12) claimed the Juvenile Prize and Conor McCaughey recorded the best gross score.

Mickey Coburn’s Captain’s Prize qualifying competition is scheduled to take place this Saturday and Sunday with the final taking place on Sunday, August 20. Qualifiers from both days will be determined on a pro-rata basis and the top qualifiers will be seeded and must play in the time slot allocated to them. There will be no exceptions to this. All other qualifiers may book a time through the BRS system which will go live on Monday next at 7pm.

There will be a competition scheduled on Saturday August 19 for competitors who fail to qualify for the second round. Juniors and Juveniles are not eligible to play in the second round of the Captain’s Prize, but they may participate in the Saturday competition scheduled for August 19th.
