LIBRARY EVENTS

Duleek Library are hosting a number of events as part of their summer programme for August 2017. Events are free of charge unless otherwise indicated. Places are limited so please book at the library if interested in any of the events: Children’s Summer Reading Scheme – Summer Stars! For children aged 6 to 12 years of age. Join the summer reading challenge at your local library. Games Activity Hour takes place every Saturday from 11am until 12pm for ages 6 – 12years. Come along for an hour of board games and activity sheets. Library Treasure Hunt! Find our summer star characters that we have hidden In the library. Take down the letters and form a word to enter. Join our competitio­n for a chance to win a craft pack. The winner will be announced at the end of the month. Entry forms available at the desk. Summer Book Report fill in our book report form on your favorite book. The best ones will be displayed in the library! Minecraft Tips & Tricks takes place Wednesday 9th of August at 3pm for ages 7+. Playstatio­n Challenge – Dirt 3, takes place Monday 14th of August at 10:30am. Find out who will be this year’s champion! Spot prizes on the day! Stories Songs and Crafts for the under 6’s takes place Thursday 17th of August at 3:30pm from 4-6 years of age. An adult must attend with the child. Booking is essential for all events. Duleek/Bellewstow­n Active Retirement would like to advise that there will be no further Meetings or Bowls until the first Tuesday and Wednesday of September.

CHILDREN’S CHOIR

Sing, move and make music! A three day workshop run by Kodaly Music Specialist. Discover your singing skills in a fun environmen­t, enhance your confidence through rhythm, singing and musical games. Takes place in Duleek Parish Hall on Tuesday 8th, Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th of August from 10am until 12:30pm for 7-12 years of age. Costs €60 per child or €100 for two siblings. MEALS ON WHEELS

Meals on Wheels would like to thank Duleek Developmen­t Associatio­n Community Shop for sponsoring the dinner on Wednesday 26th July due to the water shortage. It was greatly appreciate­d by all. They would also like to thank the communitie­s of Ardcath, Bellewstow­n, Donore and Duleek for their generosity at the recent Church Gate collection.

FAMILY MAGIC SHOW

An Amazing Comedy Family Magic Show will be held on Friday 11th of August at 7pm in The Courthouse, Duleek in aid of Duleek Bellewstow­n & District Community Facility. This will be a magical evening not to be missed with Master Magician Jamie Skelton. Doors open 6.30pm, cost €5 per person.

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION

Multiple Sclerosis Society Meath Branch will be holding their annual Church Gate Collection in Duleek and Bellewstow­n on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th August. All support would be greatly appreciate­d.

GUIDE DOGS ASSOCIATIO­N

The Irish Guide Dogs Associatio­n would like to advise that €640 was raised at the recent Church gate collection­s in Duleek and Bellewstow­n. Thank you for your support.
