The new traffic flow from Friday, August 18 will see the Gate closed to all traffic.

Francis Street will become one-way up from Constituti­on Hill to Scarlet Street.

Jim Garry Way is midway up the street and it will reverse flow, allowing traffic to enter the King St/ William St/ Palace St area from Francis Street.

There will also be a left lane leading down to the entrance to the Laurence Centre only.

Access onto the Cord Road is now down Oulster Lane and Sandyford Terrace.

Cord Road traffic flow will be reversed, allowing vehicles up Francis Street or down Constituti­on Hill at Sarsfield’s Pub.

Who will have the right of way in relation to the Cord Road, vehicles travelling up from Constituti­on Hill for Francis Street or vehicles on the Cord Road and looking to turn right up Francis Street?

ANSWER: Vehicles on Cord Road will have right of way. There will be a STOP junction at top of Constituti­on Hill.

Who has right of way at the Jim Garry Way junction with King St, Palace St, William Street?

ANSWER: Vehicles on Jim Garry Way will have right of way. There will be a STOP junction for traffic southbound on King Street and northbound on Palace Street.
