Caravans parked on the beach

We were pleased to note that Deputy J. Tully, speaking at a meeting of Mcath County Council, strongly criticised the unauthorised parking of caravans at local seaside resorts. As the Deputy pointed out, the Council’s regulations in the matter are being blatantly broken, and we have seen caravans parked and tents pitched in the prohibited area— from Mornington to Dclvin Bridge.

As there are two modern caravan parks in the area there is no excuse whatsoever for this haphazard parking of these vehicles in places where no proper amenities exist and we hope that the Council’s staff will take every step possible to end the abuse of the regulations.
