Fred Meade is a tidy winner

JULY 1973: In Slane’s “Tidy Village” contest the award for the best kept private house front and for the best window’ boxes went to Mr. Fred Meade. The choice was made by Mr. Pat Kearns, the Eastern Regional Tourism Officer. In the best shop front section, the first prize went to Breen’s chemists, second prize to Doonan’s and third to Slane House.
