Learn about the joys of Townley Hall

-

ANCIENT East Boyne Tours are inviting everyone from Counties Dublin, Meath and Louth to join them for an afternoon at Townley Hall during National Heritage Week.

Townley Hall is a magnificent Georgian mansion built just over 200 years ago on a hilltop setting. Today it is surrounded by 60 acres of rolling parkland overlooking the Boyne Valley, very close to the site of the famous battle.

The House is an architectural jewel. It is renowned for its exquisite interior, wonderful proportions, the quality of the materials and craftsmanship used in its construction and, in particular, its magnificent staircase.

Take a leisurely Sunday afternoon walk around the house in the company of the knowledgeable Brendan Kiernan on the 20th August at 3:00 p.m.

Refreshments are an optional extra at €2.00 per head.

This year National Heritage Week focuses on Ireland’s natural heritage and shows how we can all make small changes to preserve our natural environment for generations to come.

Find out more about the links between Ireland’s nature, history, culture and heritage at tours, walks, talks, exhibitions, outdoor activities and more.
