Series of heritage events take place in local libaries
A SERIES of events will be held in Drogheda, Ardee and Dundalk libraries on Thursday 24th August during Heritage Week.
There is a Meitheal Dúchas .ie/ Logainm.ie presentation where you can find out how you can contribute to the preservation of Ireland’s cultural heritage. Transcribe folklore from the 1930s with Meitheal Dúchas.ie and record minor placenames with Meitheal Logainm.ie. The presentation is free of charge. Website : duchas.ie/en/meitheal.

Dog Safety Workshop is on Tuesday 22nd August for children aged 7-13 years. Drogheda library at 11 .30 a.m. Learn how to be dog smart with Audrey & Lucy from DogsTrust. What to do if you are frightened of a dog and how to keep safe around dogs at home and out and about. No charge.
Exploring Our Natural Heritage is the title on Wednesday 23rd August Drogheda Library from 2 p.m. -3.30 p.m. For children aged 6-12 years. This workshop explores the natural heritage of the local area and the importance of natural heritage, Ireland’s biodiversity and what we can do to protect our wildlife. Places limited.
