Simonstown 3-13 Sen’chalst’n 1-10

SIMONSTOWN reinforced their tag of favourites to retain the Keegan Cup when chalking up their third win on the trot in the SFC at Castletown last Saturday evening.

Young Cathal Finnegan and Bryan Clarke were in scoring mode for Seneschalstown early on as they opened up a three point lead. However Simonstown were never headed after Nathan O’Brien struck for their opening goal on 21 minutes.

The Navan men hit a second goal when Sean Tobin took advantage of poor defending to send his side into a 2-5 to 0-5 lead on 26 minutes. The lead was halved when a teasing delivery from Finnegan was finished to the net by Clarke.
