Ditch the duvet for Newgrange
MEATH County Council and the Office of Public Works are delighted to announce Ditch the Duvet Dawn Chorus at Newgrange for National Heritage Week 2017.
This free, outdoor, singing extravaganza will take place on Saturday August 19th at 8am in front of Newgrange Monument.
The event will be led by Claire Crehan of Speak Up Sing Out, who has put together a songbook of uplifting songs full of joy and happiness for everyone to greet the Day.
This family friendly free event is open to all and no experience is necessary.
Claire is a community music teacher, piano teacher, composer, performer and musical director. Claire arranges all the music for Speak Up Sing Out choirs and accompanies all choirs. She writes her own music and arrangements, and she and Eimear Crehan devised the ‘Choral Doctor’ program for choirs everywhere. In addition to facilitating tailor made programs for groups,
Claire is a Naked Voice practitioner, training as a sound healer, and facilitates community singing, chanting, meditation and other vocal practices from around the world.
