One man seriously injured following motorway crash
GARDAÍ are investigating following a serious road traffic accident on the Motorway last week in which two men were seriously injured.
The accident happened on Thursday afternoon at around 12.45pm on the link road that runs parallel to the M1 between the Donore Roundabout and the Duleek Road.
The incident involved a van which was in collision with a motorway maintenance vehicle.
The two occupants of the van were removed by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. One of those involved, a man in his 40s is described as being in a serious condition. He was transferred from the Lourdes to the Mater Hospital on Thursday night.
Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Ashbourne Garda Station.
Meanwhile, a second accident which occurred on Wednesday, August 16th is also being investigated.
The crash happened on the southbound route of the M1 between junction junction 10, Drogheda North and Junction 9, Drogheda.
Two people were taken to hospital following the collisions between a lorry and a car.
Drogheda Fire Brigade were in attendance and there were some delays while personnel worked to clear the scene.
