Number of cars broken into in Slane area

A NUMBER of cars were broken into in the Slane area last week.

Nessa Durkin of Clogherhead Garda Station said the break-ins that occurred happened mainly in tourist areas and said foreign visitors were unfortunately the main victimes in these instances.

Gardaí are also investigating the theft of an 03 grey Toyota Corolla car from the King Street area on Saturday, August 12th.

Meanwhile, three men were arrested following reports of intruders in a premises on the Dublin Road last weekend. Gardaí attended the scene and a chase ensued before the trio were caught and arrested.
