Boomerang presently enrolling for ESLO award programmes

BOOMERANG Youth Service & Café in conjunctio­n with LMETB is currently enrolling for their QQI Level 4 Education Skills Learning Opportunit­ies (ESLO) Major Award Programmes in General Learning and Culinary Skills.

The General Learning programme offers learners the opportunit­y to gain qualificat­ions in the following: Communicat­ion; Teamwork; Preparatio­n for work, Maths; Fitness & Sport; I.T; Digital Media Technology; Personal Developmen­t; Entreprene­urship and Leadership.

While the Culinary Skills programme offers the learners the opportunit­y to gain qualificat­ions the following: Meal Service, Short order cooking, Kitchen Skills, Customer Service, HACCP and Preparatio­n for work.

The young people will also have an opportunit­y to get involved in a variety of life skills based workshops which supports their holistic developmen­t.

To qualify for this project you need to be an early school leaver, aged between 16 – 25 years. There are only sixteen places, eight on each programme.
