Chord Road closed for Irish Water upgrade work
Sections of the Chord Road will close from this week until October to facilitate upgrade works by Irish Water.
A Road Closure Notification has been given for the first two sections to close.
The area from the Chord Road Junction with Bredin Street to Hand Street will close from Monday, August 28th to Friday September 23rd.
A second section from Hand Street to Thomas Street will be closed from Monday, September 11th to Friday, October 7th. Details of two further sections of the road to close will be given once the work in these areas are complete.
The road closure is to facilitate the major water main rehabilitation project in Drogheda currently being carried out by David Walsh Civil Engineering Ltd on behalf of Irish Water.
