Patrick McConnon

Widespread regret has been occasioned by the death, which occured recently, of Mr. Patrick McConnon, 30 St. Joseph’s Terrace, Mell, Drogheda. Deceased, who was 70. was a bread van driver with Peter Lyons Ltd., and was well known and popular in the locality.

A keen sportsman, he was interested in G.A.A. affairs, horse racing and hunting.

He was a member of the Larks G.F.C. and, in later years, of the Oliver Plunkets club.

His sons also have this love of football , two of them having played with Oliver Plunkets while another is associated with West End teams.
