The show will featureDei­rdre O’Kane, the star of the award-winning biopic Noble, as well as TV shows Moone Boy and Paths to Freedom. She is accompanie­d by well-known comic Eleanor Tiernan with more special guests to be announced. This is guaranteed to be an excellent evening, in support of a great cause.

The film club is always a popular feature of the programme and this year two Irish films are featured, Young Offenders and Handsome Devil as well as a number of internatio­nal production­s including A Man Called Ove, from Sweden and Clash from Egypt.

Musical highlights inclue Homonics, who will be bringing their own special mix of music and songs, from show tunes to trad. Joining them this year is The Line-up, one of Dublin’s most vibrant and exciting choirs and our friends from the Drogheda Orchestral Collective. The Michael Wollny Trio is one of the world’s great jazz-driven piano trios, as well as Christmas performanc­es from St Peter’s Male Voice Choir and the Drogheda Orchestral Collective.
