DRUMCONRAT­H cemented second spot in Group A of the JFC despite a lacklustre display over win-less Moynalty.

With little at stake the lack of urgency in both teams was easy to see and it resulted in an open game of football.

Moynalty started with two points before Drumconrat­h got on the scoresheet from a Wayne Reilly free after a foul on Terry Skelly. Skelly picked up an injury at that stage, and while he battled on for

a spell he was eventually replaced and is a major doubt for the quarter-final in two weeks’ time.

With Stephen Crosby and Tomás Conlon in good form Drums went on to add seven further points by the 20th minute to lead 0-8 to 0-3 and they ended the half four ahead, 0-11 to 0-7.

Drums out-scored their opponents 1-4 to 0-1 in the third quarter, with substitute Eoin Martin finding the net, to move into a 10-point lead.
