Lourdes Youth Band perform in National Concert Hall
Lourdes Youth Band to represent Drogheda in the National Concert Hall
The Lourdes Youth Band, under the baton of Mr John Walsh will travel to the National Concert Hall in Dublin to perform in the 21st Anniversary concert for the “Lassus Scholars and Piccolo Lasso Choir”.
The Lourdes Youth Brand were formed in 2014. In July 2016 they were winners of the Junior Section of the South of Ireland Band Championships. Under Mr. John Walsh guidance they have advanced to compete at Intermediate level. Aside from their competition work, the band has given recitals at music events in the Drogheda area. Being asked to perform the National Concert Hall is testament to the band’s high standard. They are very proud to have been selected to represent Drogheda on the national stage. The award winning Lourdes Youth Band are currently recruiting. We accept people with or without musical knowledge. It’s a great opportunity for teens who wish to get involved and become part of this long established musical organisation in the town.
