HOSPICE COFFEE MORNING

This year marks the 25th year of Irelands biggest coffee morning for Hospice Bellewstow­n will host their coffee morning for Hospice on Thursday 14th September in the Parish Hall (beside church). Every cup counts- get involved by donating and making a difference to someone’s life. Every euro raised locally stays locally, so come along bring a friend make new ones, there will be a Raffle on the day anyone wishing to donate to raffle please contact Linda D-0868450339

Club Strokeplay C/S. Played on Tuesday 29th August in dry but cool conditions, there was a good entry though only one senior player took part. Winner of the Gents was Wally Sheridan with 95g. Runner-up Sean Clerkin 100g; 18nett winner was Frank Andrews. Winner of the Ladies was Cathy Richardson with 123g Runner-up was Marie Black with 125g and Marie Brennan won the 18nett with 51.

Happy 80th Birthday to Joe Smith; Joe is a great character and a long time member. Hope you have a great day Joe. Happy 16th birthday to Katie Rose Heeney; Katie is also a long-time member; in fact, since she was a toddler; and has grown up to be a lovely young teenager; have a great birthday Katie Rose. Also, happy birthday to Mon Byrne this week also.

Tuesday 29th August; Numbers drawn were 10-11-21-2226. There was no winner so the Jackpot next week will be €2,000. The €10 winners were John Kelly; James Whyte; June Collier; Tommy Lynch; Josie Greene; N. O’Reilly. The draw was early this week because of the races.
