PUBLIC MEETING

On Monday next 11th September at 8 p.m. there will be a public meeting in the Church of Ireland Parish rooms to discuss getting CCTV into the centre of our village. Sharon Keogan, Sgt. Dean Kearns, and a CCTV expert will be on hand to fill us in on all the details. This will also be an opportunity for people to sign up for our Text Alert which costs €6 annually. Many thanks to Donal Black of Blacks Nurseries who has put up another 4 Text Alert Signs on the North side of our village.

CHILDLINE VOLUNTEERS

The Louth/Meath branch of the ISPCC is recruiting for our Childline service and our next training course is due to start at the end of September. We recruit volunteers from all over the Louth and Meath area and are eager to add to our fantastic team. The first step in becoming a volunteer is to attend an information evening (on one of a choice of evenings). This is an opportunity for people to come along and hear about the service, and what is involved in volunteering. They would also have a chance to hear from an already active volunteer. I have scheduled these for Tuesday 5th September and Thursday 14th September. All sessions will begin at 6.30pm, and anyone interested is invited to attend. They will be held at our office here in Drogheda (Distillery House, Dyer Street, Drogheda, Co Louth). Anyone interested in attending one of the information evenings should contact me on 041-9809964 or dlambe@ispcc.ie to book a place.
