Failed to stop

-

A MAN who had no insurance and failed to stop at the scene of an accident was fined € 200 at last Friday’s sitting of Drogheda District Court.

Waldemar Markowski, Rosevale was accused of having no insurance, no driving licence and failing to stop arising out of an incident that took place on July 19th last year.

The court heard Markowski has compensated the other party involved.

The solicitor for the defence said his client is not working at the moment. He said he does have a good work history but sustained a work injury and is currently on benefits.

Imposing a € 200 fine, Judge John Coughlan said he wouldn’t disqualify the defendant from driving.
