Three kitchen knives and axe

A MAN who is alleged to have had three kitchen knives, an axe and a screwdrive­r in his possession when stopped by gardaí has had his case adjourned to January 12th at Drogheda District Court.

Martin Ward with addresses in Kerry and Cavan, was stopped at Mosstown, Dunleer on January 18th, 2017 after gardaí received a call about a disturbanc­e.

The Solicitor for the Defence said Ward has a significan­t intellectu­al disability and a severe problem with alcohol.

Adjourning the case for the preparatio­n of a probation report, Judge John Coughlan told the defendant: ‘If you don’t comply I’ll put you in jail.’
