St Peter’s take to the stage again

-

AFTER an action-packed first half of 2017, which saw it record in the world-famous Windmill Lane recording studio and perform three sell-out concerts, including the triumphant show with international soprano Celine Byrne, St. Peter’s Male Voice Choir and Musical Director Edward Holly (right) are set to return to the stage this coming Friday at 8 p.m. in the Barbican Centre, Drogheda.

Unveiling their new show “Songbook,” the choir will perform many great hits, including Elvis’s “An American Trilogy” and Elbow’s “One Day Like This,” to name but a few. Fans of the choir can also expect stand-out solo performances, and well-known singer Claire Regan will also make a guest appearance, all accompanied by an outstanding live band, including Riverdance Musical Director Guy Rickarby and Van Morrison’s pianist Brian Connor.

“We are really looking forward to this show. As fans of the choir will know, we are close to completing our third CD but there is no performance like a live performance and there will be some great choral sound in the Barbican this coming Friday,’ PRO Anthony Moore said. Tickets for this musical extravaganza are €15 (no booking fee) from The Barbican, (041) 980 7416 and the Westcourt Hotel, (041) 983 0965. Credit Card bookings, phone (041) 982 9124 or online booking is available at www.ticketweb.ie.
