Oldbridge should follow Ardgillan playground

I PAID a visit to Ardgillan Castle recently and what a facility Drogheda man Tom Reilly and his crew there have developed.

Situated between Balbriggan and Skerries, it commands a huge area, with fine gardens and a majestic house.

But Tom being Tom, he knows that the business must always move on and expand in order to bring in repeat business.

The superb playground attracts people from miles around - including this area - and one wonders why a few heads can’t be knocked together and a superb facility built at Oldbridge House demesne.

This would be a joint venture between the OPW and Meath County Council and it has been brought up before but never advanced past talks - never mind any designs.

The likes of a playground would bring many more to the superb location and it is something that will surely happen - sooner or probably later.
