I WONDER does the boxing club still have it?

In the 1950s, Drogheda Amateur Boxing Club received a very acceptable present, the donor being the above Mr. Thomas Behan and the gift took the form of a supplement to the “New York Police Gazette” of December 15th, 1894, and depicted world heavyweight champion, James J. Corbett along with “Bob” Fitzsimons (who later wore the heavyweight crown) prior to their bout for the world title.

The supplement, in colour, was is in perfect condition, and the championship belt provided a background to the boxers. Mr. Behan, an old fight fan, had the supplement for many years.
