Zombies coming!
IF you see a bloodied, bandaged group of the walking dead approach on Sunday 29th October, do not panic: they are the fun loving participants of Drogheda Zombie Walk, a novel fundraiser designed to support three local charities.
This is the second year of the Zombie Walk, a charitable event that provides mythical flesh eating characters an opportunity to channel their good intentions and have a bit of fun. A brainchild of the indefatigable Declan Kierans, this year’s event will include a Zombie Walk (think Paddy’s Day for zombies) through the town and lots of fun associated events for the young and the young at heart.
The beneficiaries of this year’s event are Alzheimers Ireland, Drogheda Homeless Aid and SOSAD and participation is possible by making contact with any of these great charities for sponsorship cards or to enquire about volunteering opportunities on the day. Alternatively you can register on the day for €10.
