Out with playing partner Pearse to eventually play their own ‘challenge game’ incorporated in the Friday Open competition Roly became a double winner as not alone did his 39 points take Pearse’s scalp which was all important he bagged the added bonus of winning the Friday Open as well. Roly is yet another member (5 in all) who has visited the winner’s enclosure following a few lessons from our resident PGA Professional Keith and as he laid back to roll his own to enjoy his success he quipped ‘this is more profitable than working’ Defeated Pearse (11) had the consolation that his 36 points got him third place as Eugene Donaldson (21) Ashfield was runner-up with 37 points and now takes over the lead as leading visitor score for the month of September.
