Old Abbey ‘gig’ night

CULTURE Night will see a very special outdoor gig at the Abbey of St Mary d’Urso (founded 1206) on Old Abbey Lane

It takes place on Friday 22nd September from 5.30- 6.30 pm, featuring, Kidkast, Old abbey Lane - Muidne Éire, a contemporary dance piece. Choreography by Grace English. Deus Meus (Trad Irish and Latin) by composer Michael Holohan. Sonata Singers, Director Siobhán Seberry and a 6 String Drum Electronic and Rock. More musicians and Augustinians to be announced !

In 1349, the Abbey was given a ‘Royal Grant of Privileges’ and was later taken over by the Augustinian Crutched Friars as a Friary.
