Anderson family threshing day on Sunday

-

THE Anderson Family’s Annual Vintage Threshing will be held on Sunday, September 24 at 2pm at the home of John and Betty Anderson, Reaghstown, Ardee.

There will be the usual tea/coffee, cakes, buns and scones served in the barn afterwards with music by John Flood and Michael McCabe.

Again this year they will have a donation bucket with all proceeds going toward a little boy called Harry Doogan from Magheracloone.

Harry who will be two in October was diagnosed a year ago with a rare eye cancer called retionoblastoma and is receiving treatment in Switzerland.

Harry is currently on trip number 18 to Switzerland for treatment. His treatment is on going until the cancer stops growing which could take another year of treatment there, and then followed by years of aftercare in Temple Street’s Children’s Hospital.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
