Relief as the Junior Cert results are out!

-

THERE was plenty to celebrate at Drogheda Grammar School last week with a fantastic array of Junior Cert results, including one student who secured 9 As.

Headmaster Hugh Baker said that overall the results were very positive and reflected all the hard work, time and deidcation both the students and staff had put in over the last three years.

‘For each student the standard is set to go on and improve as they enter the senior years of their time here,’ he said.

Amongst the excellent results received on the day was student Rachel Berney who received 9 A’s and a number of others who received outstanding grades.

The Junior Certificate results in Coláiste na hInse in Bettystown were handed out to the largest ever group, with 220 students completing the exams. The school’s “honours norm”, where every student is encouraged to attempt each subject at higher level, is paying off with numbers well above national average attempting the honours exams. It was another successful year for a large number of students as they succeeded in reaching 7 A grades or more.
