Wogan takes charge of Oscar Traynor squad
THE North East Football League have appointed Robbie Wogan as the new Oscar Traynor team manager after David Doyle stepped down during the summer.
After a lengthy selection process the NEFL felt that Wogan’s was the most appealing from a wide rage of applications, and he has put together a strong backroom team of former club managers - among them Mark Jacob and Steve McGoona along with Robbie’s own son Rian.
Robbie is highly regarded within local soccer circles in both Meath and Louth and he is a huge believer in youthful selections being a major part of his plans.
He has previously managed a host of local clubs and teams, most notably winning a Leinster Under-19 trophy with Navan Town five years ago, and is currently part of the Longford Town Under-19 management team.
