Dawe, Moore, McGroggan stars as Brookville lift the under 12 title

-

BROOKVILLE, the Drogheda Minor League under-12 champions were feted in the local Parochial Centre by O’Raghallaighs G.F.C.. Chairman Mr. Eddie McGuigan, who congratulated the Brookville boys on their great victory and said that his club would be running sides in all eight competitions of the Minor Board.

The man who must get the full credit for this first-time success of Brookville is none other than Jimmy Carroll, for it was his unceasing work that was responsible, in the main, for the Brookville success.

Apart from the team itself it was heartening to see all the parents present. This is lacking at juvenile level at the moment in Drogheda, and it’s quite safe to say that the more parents participate and take interest in these youths, the better for all.

The honour of presenting the trophies to the victorious Brookville team fell to Jimmy Carroll, and the following players received trophies: Kevin Dawe (captain), Karl Monaghan, Oliver Nash, Patrick Carr. Harry Phelan. Paul Moore. Martin Dawe, John Downey, Brendan Dawe. Jim McVeigh, John Harmon, Pat McGroggan, Anthony Nash.
