Learn technology with the Lifestyle Focus programme

LIFESTYLE Focus Your Future is currently recruiting for their new Informatio­n Communicat­ion Technology training programme to begin this October. This training programme is for 18-35 year olds that have not completed their secondary education and are unemployed.

The programme is QQI accredited and offers an Informatio­n Communicat­ion Technology Level 4 Major Award. Some of the modules covered include; Office Skills, Web Design, ECDL, Communicat­ions and Work Experience. The course will also include a 6 week work placement.

Assistant Coordinato­r of Lifestyle Focus Your Future Vincent Manley says, “Our Focus Your Future course has been very popular in the past and we’re delighted to make some new and exciting changes for 2017. Our goal is to help unemployed people in the Drogheda area along the path to their dream careers.”

Previous courses have proved very successful with over 25 learners gaining Level 4 Major Awards and more than 20 learners progressin­g to employment or further training in the last 3 years.

This full-time course will run daily from 9:30 to 4:00 over 30 weeks starting this October. LMETB training allowances may apply, subject to approval.

Lifestyle Focus Your Future is a Local Training Initiative of Louth Meath Education and Training Board and Lifestyle Developmen­t Group. Local Training Initiative­s (LTIs) are run by the Regional Skills & Training Centre in collaborat­ion with local community organisati­ons to provide flexible training and education for unemployed people primarily aged between 18-35 years. Lifestyle Focus Your Future has been helping the people of Drogheda since 2000.
