EAST MEATH ACTIVE RETIREMENT

The East Meath Active Retirement group have resumed their weekly activities each Thursday afternoon in the St Mary’s Church of Ireland Parish rooms at 2.30p.m. New members are always welcome.

East/West 1st Peggy McLoughlin & Alice Smyth; 2nd Josephine Cannon & Marion McKenna.

GREAT FUN ON THE BEACH

The beach volleyball last weekend was a great success with lots of interested people turning up to see and take part in the events. Hopefully this taster session will lead to making it a regular sport in our area.

The sand yachting over the past week also brought great crowds to our beaches despite some squally wind and rain as well as sunshine. May thanks to the Drogheda River Rescue and the St John Ambulance, Meath Civil Defence, Coastguard and Meath county council Beach Wardens; great to see all groups working together to ensure a successful event and for the welfare of all competitors and spectators.
