10k race honours memory of Noel Carroll

THE annual 10k Annagassan run is being held on Saturday 18th November at 11.00am in memory of running star Noel Carroll.

A native of Annagassan, Noel was one of the country’s top athletes and one of the driving forces behind the early years of the Dublin City Marathon .

The route of the 10k takes in the village of Annagassan (right), where beautiful views of Cooley Mountains and Dundalk Bay can help the miles fly by. At one point in the race, the route hugs the shoreline before heading back to the village.

The race is open to all comers, from beginners to runners winding down their marathon training.
