Accused of trying to drown dog

A 35-year-old man accused of attempting to drown a Jack Russell dog, has been returned for trial to the circuit court.

The offence is alleged to have occurred on 19 July, 2016. The accused, Ivo Sprogis, 50 The Park, Martello Village, Bryanstown, has been granted legal aid for two counsel and a Latvian interpreter.

A book of evidence has been served, and the case adjourned to the circuit court sitting in Dundalk on 3 October, 2017.
